Justin Trudeau writes in diary that he secretly does not wish Stephen Harper all the best

OTTAWA (The News Desk) — Writing in a small leather-bound journal that he keeps in his study, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confessed that he secretly did not wish former prime minister Stephen Harper all the best after the Calgary MP announced his departure from Canadian politics today.

“Former Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced today that he was leaving politics, and in a brief speech and various messages on social media I wished him all the best,” Trudeau wrote in the journal.

“But diary, here’s the thing: I don’t actually wish him the best. In fact I wish him the very opposite.”

The prime minister went on to confess that he hoped Harper’s private sector career would go “not so well.”

“Diary, I don’t like what he stands for, and I secretly hope that he is not successful in the private sector. I hope that his consulting business has great difficulty affecting business or policy in any meaningful way,” wrote Trudeau.

The prime minister was later seen erasing most of the diary entry and writing about all the positive things that happened on Friday. ♦
